Hi, All:

I installed eSword on my PDA; the Bible versions I downloaded from their site find the PDA (Treo 700w w/ WM5) and install themselves automagically.

When I attempt loading either the free ed or my premium ed, of NET Bible to my PPC the process fails saying it finds no instance of eSword on my desktop PC.

Is there a version of NET Bible suitable for a PPC eSword installation?

Is there a procedure I need to use to manually move the NET Bible and related files from my desktop to the PPC without needing to install on the PC, first? (I'm having a challenge loading eSword to the PC.)

(I bought and installed the Olive Tree version only to realize that it was not the solution to my problem.)

Thanks in advance.

Blessings!

Ron

Hello, I am currently working on a pocketpc version of the NET bible. It should be ready for testing soon! Would you like to be one of the testers? It would definitely be appreciated.

Briansea,

Yes, I can and will alpha or beta test the software for you. I have 2 PPC platforms, a Treo 700w and an early Dell PDA, both with Windoze.

I have beta tested for M$ in the past. I've done some software development, as well. so, I believe I can do a good job for you. ;-)

Blessings!

Briansea,

What software does your version run on? eSword?

Blessings!

I am running Windows Mobile 2003 with esword. I should be ready to test soon, as all I have left to do is create a .cab file for the pocketpc

I built a CAB file about a year ago, so I could probably re-create the CAB again. Need help?

Hey Brian,

I received a Samsung Blackjack for a Christmas present. Is Windows Mobile the same OS as your discussing here? If so, I'd be happy to do some testing for you on my device.

Mike, I do not see your device on the list of supported models for pocket e-sword. HOWEVER, you should go ahead and download the app and try and install it. In my experience, it may still run. http://www.e-sword.net/pocketpc/downloads.html We actually have not had much progress at all until recently(today actually) on this area; so , please report back on how the installation goes and we will go from there.

Thank you very much,
Brian

Brian,

When do you expect to have something ready for beta testing?

Mike,
Does your Samsung have a touchscreen?

That's a requirement of pocket e-sword.
