e-sword bibles are available from a variety of sources. However, the NET module is not available on the main e-sword site. However, http://www.e-sword.net has many free and several for pay bibles.

The NETBible modules are only available from the bible.org siteThere are two versions of the NET Bible for e-Sword® to choose from:
Quote:
A free version with the full NET Bible text and a sample of the NET Bible notes - available to registered users of bible.org (support via user forum onlysee forum 8c)
Help support bible.org by buying the premium e-sword module with the full 60.000+ notes displayed in the commentary window and 2 full NET Bible texts (with and without note markers for copying into your personal studies) full product support provided.Sample screen here only $19.95.

Generally the bibles are zipped files, when they install, they are expanded and copied to the e-sword directory on your computer. When e-sword is started it looks in that directory for files that end in .bbl and recognizes them as bibles and the name of the file is the name used on the tab for the bible (without the .bbl extension). They are Microsoft Access files.

That's pretty much all there is to it, there is no option or anything, the files just need to be put on the computer in the proper place and e-sword will recognize them.

Even if you have bible modules they aren't necessarily displayed.

When e-sword is running clicking on the "Options" and then "Resources" on the menu will bring up a window with all the Bibles, Commentaries, and Dictionaries that the program found listed in three columns. Each file has a box next to it. Checking the box will cause it to be displayed on a tab so you can use it, having the box empty will cause it not to be displayed. The exception to that is if you hit the "Compare" tab in the Bible part of the window, the single verse selected will show from all the bibles, not just the selected ones.

Hope that helps.

Elsie, welcome.

Esword is a free Bible sudy software program. It may be downloaded here: http://www.e-sword.net/

Once you download main software, you may also download several different versions of the bible for free, and several more are available for a fee (about $20 each as I recall). There are also commentaries and Bible study tools available, some free, some fee. It is a very nice software product. Although free, contributions are encouraged, if you like it,se it, and can afford to contribute.

Regards.
