Who am I and Where am I from? My name is Taffy Nahas, a husband to Susan Nahas, father of four, Alex, 12, Mitch, 9, William, 8, and Maggie, 6. I am a lawyer and have been for almost 20 years. I live in Ottawa, Canada, born and raised here. My parents emigrated to here from Lebanon in 1960 the year I was born.

I became a Christian by the grace of God on May 10, 2001 and have thanked the Lord each day for my salvation. I was a nominal Catholic for 40 years, married and baptized all my kids there until the Light shone and I haven't looked back.

Favourite movie: that's tough. Its a Wonderful Life.

Coke or Pepsi? Think outside the box: Water.

Nothing really except my name which is unusual (long story) and my photographic memory.

Sorry for the late post but I ma technically challenged.

I will try to keep up.

Can't wait for tonight!!

Who am I?
Mark Sims. 55yrs.
Married to Sue
3 adult children
4 and 2 half grandchildren
Live in Whakatane, New Zealand

I work for The Bible Society in New Zealand as regional representative in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty regions. (I know that these probably mean nothing to you but is you have Google Earth you can check out where I am)
I became a Christian when I was 10, sitting on the top bunk in my bedroom, my big brother explained the gospel to me and I accepted Christ as my saviour. Many ups and downs in the years that followed but began to seriously follow the Lord when I married Sue.

Favourite movie? Shawshank Redemption or Forrest Gump Why? Shawshank was sooo satisfying. Forrest was my era of life. Even though it was in the USA we here in NZ went through the similar things, even had soldiers in Veit Nam plus it was great movie.

Coke, but here in NZ Lemon & Paeroa is a better drink

Most interesting thing about me? Well in this clas, I am the only Kiwi!

Who am I ?
My name is Mark. My wife and I have been married for ten years. We attend an evangelical fee church and love to participate in the Alpha programs. I've been involved in the computer hardware/software field most of my life.

Where am I from?
I grow up in Minnesota – very cold!

How did I become a Christian?
At a Billy Graham crusade when I was in my mid teens and then a rededication later in life.

One of my favorite movies
Close Encounters of The Third Kind – most people don't realize it but we have been visited by someone not of this world - God

Coke or Pepsi ? I have a Coke and a smile everyday

Something I find interesting about myself
I've played drums most of my life in various bands around town.

My name is Ken Maurer. I have three wonderful children ages 32, 30 and 26 and three wonderful grandchildren. My lovely wife Brenda (33 yrs married) and I live in Brighton, Michigan.

I am originally from Indiana and still hail Indiana as my home state. I just happen to be temporarily displaced in Michigan (transferred there by employer)

I became a Christian while on active duty in the Navy (1972). An ensign that was working with Campus Crusade shared the "Four Spiratual Laws" with me.

I'm not much of a movie person - I much prefer reading but I think the original Star Wars movie was at the time impressive. The visuals and special effects were awesome.

I prefer Diet coke - I think its chemically doped to be addictive??

After receiving Christ I moved to Ft. Wayne Indiana to study at Ft. Wayne Bible College. I did not end up attending but instead received my college education at Purdue and Indiana University (Physics and Business). I feel I have spent most of my life running from what God wanted for my life and climbing the ladder only to find that it is leaning against the wrong wall. I am desparately trying to turn around and focus on God's will and purpose, with a strong desire to leave the secular job world and enter full time Christian work.

Hello all.

My name is Michael Vander Sande - I am joining your class as a moderator and primarily to revisit the Intro Course which I finished in May...I am 3/4 of the way through Trinitarism and am thankful for the opportunity to interact and learn with & from each of you.

It's hard to believe that "way back" in April/May there was very little interaction on these forums and as you all know this is changing rapidly. The PalTalk sessions with each of you is especially rewarding and I mentioned to Michael last week that for the first time in my life I felt I was in the presence of many like-minded individuals....Thanks to each of you.

I live with my beautiful wife in Indianapolis. We are expecting our first child - Grace - any day now......we're due September 9th yet as most first timers experience are expecting she'll come along any day now.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin and am forever a Bucky Badger...I've traveled quite a bit in my 42 years and have many places I call home...

I began my walk with Christ in 1990 and in May this year was re-baptized.

Favorite movie is The Breakfast Club as I relate quite well with Bender....

Coke or Pepsi....... - Chocolate Milk

Very many most interestings including growing up with 8 brothers and sisters in a psuedo brady bunch-like environment....I'm also a die-hard supporter, former employee of and a complete Apple computer "freak!".....

Thanks again for the opportunity to study, grow, learn and mature with each of you....

God Bless

1. Q: Who am I and where am I from? A: I am Stan Goworek, from Bayonne, NJ. Divorced with no kids, happened long before I became a believer.
2. Q: If a Christian, how did you become a Christian? A: I became a Christian by being born into Roman Catholicism, taking the sacraments, believing in God as a youth, and then getting caught up in the "ways of this world" to a degree few can imagine (I hope...). I basically "hit bottom" in life at age 36, and humbly asked God for help. I haven't looked back, and these last two years have been (by far) the best of my life. Alcohol, bad investments, overeating, bad choices with friends, bad choices in everything: they all played a part in my conversion.
3. Q: What is your favorite movie? The Passion of Christ because it actually made me cry!
4. Q: Coke or Pepsi? A: Pepsi
5. Q: What is the most interesting thing about you? A: I have no idea - maybe the fact that I have a loud, distinct voice which seems to get me into trouble (ha ha) more often then not?

I began studying the bible about 15 months ago. I really didn't know much about the bible before that. I have great people in my life today. I am involved with a 12 step club which has served as a "Bridging the Gap" venue for many folks, and we have MANY who are hungry and wanting to learn more.

I am taking this course to help me think better; to help me understand all sides better (I live in a very, very diverse part of the country); and, to help keep me "motivated" by the interaction.

I pray all of you are getting as much out of this as I am. God Bless,Stan[/b]

I am finally starting to figure this online stuff out. Still takes me awile to get here but I am persistent.

I am from Savannah, GA. My mother's family settled the city of Savannah in the 1700's. Raised in a Catholic setting where we did church on Sunday and lived like the world the other 6 days. I have 3 brothers & 2 sisters. Alcoholism and verbal abuse growing up. I am 50, my husband is my best friend. He loves me and stuck by me for many years when I was anything but loveable. Abused alcohol & drugs for many years. Dealt with rage and anger most of my life. October 2004, delivered of chronic depression and bowel problem since teenager, arthritis, food alergies (not able to eat processed foods so I have never needed a pantry in my house) & other stuff. Praise God I am free, peace is a wonderful thing. I work as the Director of Community Relations for the Old Savannah City Mission. I feel blessed to be a part of this wonderful ministry. One of the neat things I do is that I get paid to talk for a living. How fun is that. I am learning to wait on Him and that always has wonderful results. I am an onion that recently had some major layers peeled off. Looking forward to the other layers being removed as the weeks and months go buy. I always want to learn and never stop growing. If I am the same person this time next year, I know have to stop and ask my self what I am not doing.

I accepted Christ in 1992 but had no idea what I was doing and did not begin to understand anything untill 1995. My growth has been slow and now after 13 years God has put me in a situation where growing is a daily thing.

My favorite movie is a Hallmark movie "Sarah, Plain and Tall". Actually there are a series of 3 movies about Sarah's life . Glenn Close is a mail order bride from Maine going to marry a Kansas farmer. I loved her courage to walk into the unknown, her strength and dertermination to make it work and not to run away even when she had doubts.

I enjoy coke because it is sweeter. I have been told that one of the interesting things about me is how I can see life from a child's perspective and have lived what I have lived. I am not sure.
