http://net.bible.org/dictionary.php?wor ... ospel%20ofMaybe it's just my system and/or (more likely) browser (Mozilla/5.0 [Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.15] Gecko/20080623 Firefox/2.0.0.15 - Build ID: 2008062306), but whenever I hover over one of the verse links with the cursor, the popup displays the verse from Genesis rather than the Gospel of John.
and responded to by myself

deofmovestofca its not your browser.. the problem is that this is automatic code that runs on a page and the links are not in the doc itself..
so as a result it doesnt know that 1:2 is john as it doesnt remember context as the human does.. it just assumes it is book 1 which is genesis..
it would be better if we detected the fact that a reference has no book name and not do anything rather than show a link.. i will ask our developer to look at it…
brian, I think marc is using your code here.. I think we should detect the fact of no book ref given and not assume it is book 1
marc, i thought we now give the reference on the popup??
http://www.bible.org/page.php?page_id=5816 this looks like old code?
If you are not the same person that reported it on the nextbible trouble link
I appreciate your reporting here but to get the problem into the system u need to click on the bottom of the page and fill in your email address and report the problem and suggestion. that way it gets into the system and you will be notified as we track it progress and work off the problem
if you are the same person that reported it on the ticket link u should have got an automatic response from the ticket reporting system so u can track our progress on the ticket.. at a minimum we will probably make it so it shows the reference it is using so if u are looking at john and it brings up genesis then u know the sw made a mistake...
thanks for your use and support of the free bible study nextbible toolset
