A disheveled man walks into a church and tells them a story. He tells them he was taking a long walk on the beach when God asked him to tell other people about his grace.
So the people in the church are all amazed, and they ask him what happened next. So he says that he told God "no" and got stuck in a whale for three days, and upon being spit out, sprinted to the nearest church.
The man seems to act as if the story is over and all the churchgoers begin questioning him. They ask how he survived three days in a whale and why he still isn't obeying God. But most of them are like, "Hey, that story sounds familiar. But in the version we heard, the guy didn't want to go because the people all deserved to roast anyway."
So the guy's like, "Let me start over. All you wicked people need to repent...."
So they stoned him to death.
