I was delighted to discover today that I had been chosen by Zondervan to receive a complimentary copy of "Parade of Faith" by renowned author Ruth Tucker (e.g., "From Jerusalem to Irian Jaya"). It focuses on the stories of individuals and congregations/churches, rather than simply dates and information. It looks like an interesting introduction to Church History (which is why I submitted an entry with Zondervan to win a copy). Just thought I'd mention it for those who are interested in such things.

I am interested in church history. This book "Parade of Faith" does it have short biographies of persons or is it more like a general history? How many centuries does it cover?

It covers the whole history of the Church up to our own era. It is more biographical than simply informational (according to its own description and some reviews I found).
