Shabbat Shalom ( Sabbath of Peace ) !!! This post is to Reveal this Prophecy of the six Cities of Refuge that was spoken from the Lord to Moses to the Israelites ; And How it is relavant today !!! Numbers 35 all Please read the whole chapter to get the Full Meaning !!! I will post the highlights of this chapter to understand the signifagance of how this chapter relates to Jesus Christ , and how the Jordan and Canaan relates to God*s Throne - Heaven - Mount Zion !!! Vs. 28 : KJV ; Because he ( Slayer - Manslaughter ) should have Remained in the City of his Refuge until the DEATH of the High Priest ( Hebrews 9 : 1 - * 7 - 15 * Jesus our High Priest ) : but AFTER the DEATH of the high Priest the slayer shall return into the Land ( Jordan and Canaan Represents the Promised Land = Heaven ) of his Possession !!! Only Could we Return to The Promised Land when the High Priest DIED ( Jesus Christ - the Lamb of God Dieing for the Atonement for the Sins of the World !!! ) Vs. 33 - 34 Relates to The Lord Creating Adam and Eve ; Cain Killed His Brother Abel , Cain was Responsible , so was the LORD Gen.6 : 5 - * 6 *, Abel*s Blood was spilled ; this EXPLAINS Why Jesus Christ Had to Come to Atone for the " Blood Shed " !!! Shalom to all , Gen. 9 : 6 KJV : Whoso sheddeth Man*s Blood , By MAN shall his Blood be shed : for in the Image of God made he Man !!! Gen. 4 : 1 KJV : And Adam knew Eve his wife , and she concieved , and bare Cain , and said " I have gotten a man from the LORD " !!! Gen. 6 : 5 - 6 , God saw the wickedness of man who He CREATED : Cain Killed his Brother Abel ; so Cain was Responsible for his Death , so was the Lord and why He Repented !!! Thank God through Christ amen shalom !!!

I have always taught that the cities of refuge were a type of Christ.

"In the New Testament, the cities of refuge apparently became a type, or symbolic illustration, of the salvation that is found in Christ: "We...have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us" (Heb 6:18). In other words, when the sinner flees to Christ Jesus for refuge he is safe from the divine Avenger of Blood. The apostle Paul wrote, "Having now been justified by his [Christ's] blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him" (Rom 5:9) and "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Rom 8:1). Regardless of his sin, the sinner may find asylum and sanctuary in Christ; all who flee to Him find refuge "The one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out" (John 6:37). The believer is safe forever in the heavenly city of refuge because the great High Priest, Jesus Christ, will never die: "He ever lives to make intercession for him" (Heb 7:25)."

When human life was taken there was always a distinction between accidental death and premeditated murder. The cities of refuge were for the ones who committed accidental death or today we might call it manslaughter which is different from murder.
