How can I distinguish and recognise if speech is intended to make money from the gifts of the Holy Spirit?

I think Simony is describe as good words or coated speeches as mention in Rom 16:17-18.

You can distinguish words if it was self serving and asking some for his own favor.Phil.3:18-19, Rom 8:5
