My wife works away from home on the weekends. She is a caretaker of a lady who contracted polio as a teen and is now in her 70's. My wife usually leaves Friday at 3:00 in the afternoon and gets home Monday at noon. I spend my weekend time with our 3 kids playing games, gardening, Bible study, lawn work, watching some TV, you know, the "normal" stuff. This past week my wife had to leave on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. and was to get home on Monday. She called last night and informed me that she has to stay until Tuesday to cover for one of the other caretakers who had to be hospitalized over the weekend. Since she told me that, my weekend seems like it is going to last forever. Yeah, I miss her. I find it hard to even study the Bible. My mind is somewhat "disconnected."
I do like being able to come here though during this time. I find comfort reading the way people here are helping each other, encouraging each other, and showing the love of Christ. It's a real spirit lifter.

I know how you feel brother in my early days when my children were young I also had a job that keep me away from home for up to two weeks at a time, I spent most weekends with them but had to leave out on Sunday afternoon and did not see the family until the following Friday night.. I know were you are coming from but like you said we are here to help in these times so don't be a stranger if you need to talk..
