Hey everyone.

I come around every now and then so if some of you remember me from months and months ago.. HAI!

I need some insight on something.. Have you guys ever been... just frustrated or sick and tired of the filth that is "the world"? Im finding myself so angry lately, at work when I hear guys use Gods name in vain, or talk about sex outside of marriage, and all of these things.

And I mean the one postive out of this, Is i try to on a weekly-biweekly basis, get out on the street and hand out tracts and start conversations and at the least invite them to church.

But sometimes... I just wanna drive my head through a wall, and i mean I dont know what to do with all this raw emotion, Im in the gym already quite regularly, and yelling at someone about what they said is silly, God doesnt need me to show anyone that in the end he wont be mocked (revelation 21:8).. So i just dont know.. All I know is that my heart breaks for these people and if they only would understand who they are insulting...

gah..

im out.
Gorship.

Have you tried praying for them?

Pray that they get everything you want for yourself, in terms of your relationship with Jesus.

In all respect, they may need your example to show them that Christianity changes us. You can't control their actions, but you can control yours. I'm not claiming to have everything just right. Is your frustration seen by them? The last thing we can do is control others. The Lord willing, your prayer and continued growth in the Lord will illustrate to them a change they want in their lives. Keep the faith and focus on what you 'can' do.

Respectfully,
N3D

Gorship, I believe it is appropriate to be angered by sin. It is nevertheless important for us to remember that unbelieving sinners are blind to the truth and are in bondage to sin, just as we also once were. We should therefore be angry with sin but have compassion for the lost and perishing. I think God's word will be most helpful to you.

2 Timothy 2:24-26 24 And the Lord’s slave must not engage in heated disputes but be kind toward all, an apt teacher, patient, 25 correcting opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth 26 and they will come to their senses and escape the devil’s trap where they are held captive to do his will. Context (NET)

Can you remember how you thought, and how you saw the world before you came to Christ? I sure can. And it makes me more tolerant of those who are enemies of God.

While you and I were still enemies of God, Christ died for us, that we might be saved. Some of those who are now enemies of God will at some point be saved. Pray that it happens soon.

Just so we're clear. I still struggle with anger. Sometimes it's righteous, most times it's not. What I do find helpful though, and what puts Satan in his place as well as gets my heart at least closer to the right place is prayer. Most times the wording isn't what's important so much as 1.) By praying, I put my thoughts on Christ, his mercy, love and grace to me. And 2.) I take my eyes off their behavior and off my offended sensibilities and puts the focus where it should be, on their spiritual condition.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated.

I think making an effort to get on my knees in humility to God is definitley the place start. I by no means think I have everything figured out, but my own strength isn't winning this one, so time to stop trying.

when it has come to things of God I often lose my anger as well. Jesus lost his anger when the people at the temple were making money

sorry Clark,

IMHO Jesus never "lost His temper/anger". He was in perfect control of Himself the entire time.

Agree with RTCrudgi... Considering who He is/was, I'd say that He thankfully kept control all the time.
