Welcome to the volunteer room we are so glad you stopped by! If you are here that means that you are interested in becoming a volunteer at Bible.org. Before we begin I would like to take a minute to introduce myself:

Who am I? My user name is SonShine my real name is Gaye and I am a believer in Christ, Jeremiah 10:10 The Lord is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King. I also believe that He has given me a mandate: Jer 1:5 &7: “Before I formed you in your mother’s womb,I chose you. Before you were born I set you apart....The Lord said to me...But go to whomever I send you and say whatever I tell you. This is my desire to speak for Him in whatever capacity He gives me. I live in Texas where I am the Volunteer Coordinator for Bible.org as well as the Admin for the Women's Exec Comm and the Tapestry Blog as well as being a helper for the Children's Ministry Coordinator. We recently moved from Fla to TX to fulfill the call of the Lord. My husband, David is the founder of the forum and is now the new Exec Direc for Bible.org. It is our hope and prayer that we (working together with you) are able to spread the word about the trustworthy resources for bible.org in whatever avenue God presents. What do I love to do: Study the Bible, interact with new people; write; cook; and love my kids.

Now that I've said hello here are a couple of things that we need you to do:

If you are interested in volunteering go to http://bible.org/book/volunteer-task-listings and fill out the volunteer application.
Once that is done, go to http://users.bible.org and join the group titled Site: Volunteers tasks and collaboration site
This is where new tasks are described and the volunteers interact with each other and the staff.
At any time you can email me using my forum user name SonShine memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=94 to ask questions or just to chat or here on the forum.

Hello SonShine and other volunteers / servants,
My name is Alan McColl. I live in Norridge (Chicago), IL. I've been married for 12 years, we have four girls. I came to know Christ 12 years ago, was saved out of a life of drug and alcohol abuse (God is so good!)
Now I worship and serve at Midwest Bible Church in Chicago. I pay the bills by working as an Electronic Technician for the US Postal Service on the night shift. I fix the mail processing and sortation equipment and associated computers and periphery at the air mail facility at O'Hare Airport. I also do all the IT stuff at Midwest and at the School (Midwestern Christian Academy) which is one of our ministries, where my 10 year old daughter also attends. Details of the computer lab project done in all Linux is here if you are interested.

I have been using Drupal for websites for about six months. Pretty much using the canned 6.X version with other contributed modules. I've made some minor tweeks in some of the php to customize themes and block display and such, but nothing very intrusive as I am not a veteran programmer. I am in the (very slow) process of completing my BS in computer science.

I hope to be able to contribute something for the Kingdom and also learn something.

I am a servant of the Living God, and have a desire to see the church grow in glorifying God, and to see people come to know Jesus Christ as their savior from their sins. The Lord has privileged me in giving me a having a wonderful wife, in allowing me to be involved with a wonderful local church body, in being able to live in a community for outreach, in being able to be a full time student at seminary amidst other things. My hope here is to be able to encourage others to grow in serving the body of Christ, and to help believers to become more intentional about sharing their faith as we try to glorify God together.

Hi,
I'm Dan Flory. I Love Jesus! In my first year of bible college in 1976 I was impressed by a reality: The only things in life that are significant are those things that contribute to eternity. In the first days of every beginning calculus everyone is taught that anything finite divided by infinite approaches 0 and infinite divided by finite is infinite. Eternal things when compared to anything physical are of infinite value :bounce:

I served as a missionary in Italy for nine years, as minister in several churches in Kansas and Missouri, and have been programming web applications for the last two years. I find the puzzle-it-out nature of programming to be quite enjoyable. I want to make my time used programming count for eternity!

You can see a picture of my family at http://danflory.net (still in development). All of my family is actively seeking first God's Kingdom!

I am blessed and look forward to getting to know you all by working side by side.

Thanks Dan for your willingness to volunteer for bible.org. Your post is quite interesting and your web page well done. I enjoyed looking through it.

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Kathy and I am excited about becoming a volunteer. I am married and have 3 kids (1 grown and 2 teens). I find myself with more free time on my hands and have asked for God's guidance to fill that time. He has brought me here. I hope to meet many wonderful Christians and to help bring God's Word to many more people.
