7. Are there times when polemic confrontation is necessary? Explain. Think of possible times when you have been personally rebuked for something sinful, destructive, or selfish. Did you need someone to peaceably come and represent your side, or did you need someone to give you stern rebuke?

There are times when polemic confrontation is necessary, but not frequently. However, I do not think this is the best way to influence for Christ, much less make friends. Perhaps it is best to begin with the less aggressive method, the irenic, approach when rebuking, then move to the apologetic, then to the polemic as the need presents itself.
