of religion is guaranteed in our constitution, but that doesn't keep mobs from persecuting us. So, that's one of the reasons I refer to Indi ahhh! But another is due to her beautiful people, the color of her culture, religion and technology.

The best and most of everything is here. Really! Do you want aqua blue waters bordered by white sandy beaches? What about teaming, bustling cities with buildings scraping the skies? Maybe you want an idle countryside where you can hear yourself think? Oh, I know, you want to visit the Taj Mahal, whose white marble dazzles eyes even under a midnight moon. What about the Ganges River where bathers wash away their sins? Or maybe the word's tallest mountains, the Himalayas, would lift your spirits?

Yes! It's all here and more ... Indi ahhh!

We are a developing country, but our president has written that we should be fully developed by AD 2020. I believe we will be. Our people share a land mass about one third the size of the United States. Put it into a little more perspective:

1,300,000,000 people here.
0,300,000,000 people in the USA.
1,000,000,000 BILLION people are our greatest asset!

We have poverty, to be sure, but we are poised to take the top spot amongst the nations. You would be surprised. Something else, we understand that a rich person is not the person with the most but actually the one who needs the least.

Did you know that we export our technology around the world? China doesn't. Hundreds of thousands fly here every year for their dental and elective surgery needs. It's the best in the world! After all, our technology was learned from the best schools around the globe and brought home for our people. Our institutions improved upon the best facilities and services anywhere in the world. We became so good, at unbelievably low prices, that people without insurance, and even insurance companies and businesses are clamoring to come for their own needs. By the way, did you know that we are the largest English speaking country in the world? Thank the British for something! :D

I'll bet you already knew we are the most spiritual country in the world. Our people know westerners laugh at us for prostrating ourselves before our stone and wooden carved gods. But our resolves have paid off, because many of us have refocused our religious convictions upon Jesus. You know something about those resolves and convictions from world famous Gandhi, and when we commit ourselves to Jesus it is with the same whole heart. Did you know our educated Hindus are outspoken monotheists? Let me say that again; Hindus believe in One God. Our ancient Vedas have been rediscovered and teach only One God. They were written at the same time in history as the Pentateuch, but without the presence of God whom we have come to know from His word, the bible, & the most wonderful, good news we've ever been told. No more fear of revolving lives, fear of karma, death, etc. While the west is largely interested in separating God from every part of life, we are inviting Him into our hearts and every part of our lives in a way that would stun most people. That's right. Don't be surprised if we come as missionaries to the west.

Currently, the government data shows between 2-3% Christians. It's much higher that that, and growing exponentially. There are political reasons the world can't see the truth about our religion, just as there are reasons why we suffer for our faith. You see, the message of Jesus is truly the hope of the world and some of us are feverishly in love with the good news of Jesus Christ and at least 15,000 ministers spread the news every night of the week around the whole land. Additionally, we have identified at least 59,000 congregations of the Lord's body here, and between January and March of 2007 the country baptized over 100k souls into Christ!

I hope we can get acquainted and that you will become interested in why all this is happening here at this time.

Because this is a very public place, please be very careful with the words you use, and don't use our country name if you can help it. We have brothers and sisters whose lives are on the line, and you want to be responsible because their families want to keep them alive and well.

I'll be telling you lots more as we go along. Feel free to ask your questions.

In Christ,
Sky

Hi Sky

Lovely to read your mail, I came back from india last month and I absolutely loved it, and if it is God's will, I will return next year. Five of us went on Women's Ministry for 10 days and I really really adored the people, the culture and their hearts to serve the Lord.

I sensed an urgent need in the people to have something more than the 'visual' Gods, but something that could maintain them and keep them all the time, and I found that their faith (even those that had been baptised a few years) was like they had just come to know the Lord, even the children. There seemed to be an excitement in the air and a genuine want to tell the world about their Jesus.

Yes, we had to be careful who we spoke to and exactly what we said, but in a place where we were the only Afro Caribbeans, and somewhat of a spectacle, I think it became obvious what we were doing. More and more churches were appearing in the area where we ministered and yes I agree, everything is written in English, you could not possibly get lost. And yes, everything you need is in India for next to nothing in terms of price.

The Indian people work hard and non stop, everybody works, yes, women working on building sites, shops never closed and even the beggars looked for things to do. So many people, so many Gods and yet Jesus still reigned.

The last Sunday I was there alone the others left before me and I ministered to 300 people, men and women and when I finished 8 gave their lives to the Lord and I sincerely believe that those people will remain saved and serving the Lord.

How wonderful to hear such praise reports for the nation of India and the love you have for her people!

We are in contact with 5 ministries in A. P. - in various cities there. They are all in desperate need of help - physical hands to labor with them, supplies to minister to all they have to care for, and finances to buy needed food and medicine. These ministries care for orphan children, widows, sick, and poor as well as preaching the gospel to the lost!

Our internet ministry has collected clothing, books, teaching tapes, cassette players, vitamins, baby items, even dried goods and sewing supplies and we've raised part of the needed funds to ship these boxes to them. We currently have 25 boxes of these items already packed and ready to go just as soon as we have the necessary money for shipping. Each box costs approximately $35.00 (USD) to send the least expensive way - by boat - which takes approximately 4 months to arrive to the ministry.

I would like to invite you to pray for these precious saints and servants of God. Also, if you feel led to help in any way, please feel free to visit our web site and contact us to answer any questions you may have.

The names of the pastors are:

Pastor P. M. and H. Raju
Pastor P. D. Raju
Pastor S. K. P. - recovering from attack by Hindu terrorists
Pastor D. B.
Sister P. K.

We are also in contact with 2 pastors in the Philippines and one in Kenya if you are interested in those areas as well!

You can visit our Missions page to see photos that some of the ministries have shared with us as well as some information on who they are/what they do and what their needs are!

May God be praised in and through all of us!

I have been trying for about 5 years to make a trip to India to visit national missionary friends in Kerala. This year my church offered a short term missions trip there, but I was the only one who signed up. Pray with me that some how I would be able to go. I'm a bit hesitant to go so far by myself, but as I told someone else, I've been supporting India missions financially for probably more than 25 years and I would really like to go and see the field with my own eyes.

Feel free to pm or email me if you have suggestions! chow_woman@yahoo.com.

Namaste!
