"The Pastor: A Memoir" by Eugene Peterson. (While I'm actually reading many books at the moment...this one is too important to not mention for the sake of others).

I Just finished reading Not a Fan by Kyle Idleman. Awesome book and highly recommended; it will really make you take a close look at your walk with Jesus.

A Gospel Primer by Milton Vincent. It's a small volume, designed to help believers meditate daily on the glories of the gospel.

C.J. Mahaney wrote:
If there’s anything in life that we should be passionate about, it’s the gospel. And I don’t mean passionate only about sharing it with others. I mean passionate about thinking about it, dwelling on it, rejoicing in it, allowing it to color the way we look at the world. Only one thing can be of first importance to each of us. And only the gospel ought to be. [The Cross Centered Life, 20-21]

Before this, I finished the book called "The Body" by Chuck Colson. & Ellen Santilli Vaughn.

I have been going through a number of books I was given from my sister's church which was closing its library. The books are by Evangelist Oliver B. Greene, 22 books in all, in addition to the other books I have of his. I listened to him on the radio when I was in high school, my senior pastor referred to him frequently and I found his writing full of scripture.

One of the books I'm currently reading is N. T. Wright's "Surprised by Hope: Rethinking Heaven, the Resurrection, and the Mission of the Church" (HarperOne, 2008). I resonate deeply with this volume and wondered if others have read it here? If so, I would be very interested in discussing it in another thread.
