Each person is unique!

Didn't God make each one different?
That what gives us the power of uniqueness, and why we can't be anything we want be.

Eph 3:11; Rom 9:11; Pro 19:21

Yes. Unfortunately, that's not what most children are taught growing up. Instead, they are taught that they can be anything they want to be. Is it any wonder that young people have so much difficulty plotting their course into adulthood, and that so many (including Christians) end up doing work that they don't enjoy and that does not give them any real sense of satisfaction? I suspect this lack of understanding is also why so many adult Christians remain mostly spectators in the church, having no passion for any kind of ministry.

interesting pt -- i had not thought of that but it does make sense

really, we can grow up to be "anything we want" -- that part is potentially true -- what it fails to mention is how efficient we'll be @ it -- people are Built a certain way & have strengths & weaknesses -- it's good to learn what these are -- this is true of personality & esp. with spiritual Gifts

is this idea from a particular book or simply a thought you had?

Paco, the name of the book is The Power of Uniqueness and the subtitle is Why you can't be anything you want to be. If you follow the link, you'll see my comments in another area of the forum.
