Forum rules

The intention of the Bible Studies in this section of the Forum is for us to study the Scriptures together as disciples of Christ.

The apostle Paul tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:1), and formative bible studies are one way that this happens. So the purpose of these studies is :

    • For us to grow in our knowledge of God and His ways
    • For us to grow in our love of God and each other
    • For us to grow more like Christ in our character
    • For us to learn how to apply what the Bible teaches in our day to day lives.

Our studies will include use of the NET bible with the translators notes, bible.org articles and study helps, as well as other commentaries, the work and insights of fellow members of the Body of Christ.

This is not an appropriate place to dismantle the text, or to dispute its authority. We will also not dispute authorship, or the acceptability of any book in the Protestant Canon. This can be done in room 5. Bible Specific Questions/Discussions Section

Of course, the usual Forum Code of Conduct rules apply to all posts.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship 16 of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
