Hi All,

When I attempt to install e-Sword using setup785 (the most current, at least as of a week ago), it halts and reports:

"Error 1911: Could not register type library for file C:\Windows\system32\msvbvm60.dll Contact your support personnel."

I sent support request with details by email via eSword's website; no reply yet about 7 days later.

Might one of you be able to help me understand what I need to do so the file will register and install will run to completion?

Well, for whatever reason, setup744 (however old it is) installed without any difficulty. Interesting.

So, I'm still lookiing for help with Err 1911 but I <darn>

Seems that I'm getting an 'Error in Load DLL 48' when I attempt to launch e-Sword.

Suggestions?

I got the same error. In the download section of the e-sword web site there are no other version except the newest one. Where can I find older version of e-sword?

Hey, my bad!

I really installed setup785.exe.

And, the answer to the problem seems to be:
· use Add/Remove Programs and uninstall e-Sword, then,
· click on the folder the it was installed in (probably c:\Program Files\e-Sword) and delete the folder, any contents, including any sub-folders, and, then,
· download a new copy of e-Sword install file; and, finally,
· install e-Sword.

This worked for me and for Andrew who wrote me 'off-list' (or rather 'off-forum'); I hope that it will work for you. Let us know how you do with this.
