The 2 witnesses are the Messiah and Elijah. They are also spoken of in Zech. 4:14Christians will confuse these people with the Antichrist and the false prophet. There will be numerous signs and wonders and the Christians will cause them to be killed. Jesus has been reincarnated and will come "as a thief" to attempt to steal the kingdom of God away. He will present himself in the Temple as God-the abomination of desolation and the third Temple will be destroyed (and allowed by God) because of this.

NOT jesus as a witness, for he cannot die again, he will be in Heaven at that time, and he will be coming back in His glorified state at His Second Coming!

There is no such thing as reincarntion of messiah, for jesus has always been God, and he incarnated as a Human being and died once and for all for Sins!

The two witnesses are the two anointed ones in Zech 4:14-the messiah and Elijah. They will be confused with the antichrist and the false prophet and will be killed but will also be resurrected when the Lord returns on the Mount of Olives with the entire host of heaven

Zechariah 4:14 refers to the priest Zerubbabel and Joshua who represent the king and the priest. Both men had to be anointed by oil for their service.

The Messiah could not be one of the witnesses for several reasons:
!. Both witnesses die - Jesus cannot die (he suffered once for the sins of the world)
2. Scripture is silent on the issue of who they actually are
3. They can call down fire to consume their enemies Jesus did not do this and told us to pray for our enemies
4. Jesus is in heaven as the lamb who was slain he will not return to earth until the end of the tribulation when He will sit on the throne of David fulfilling the Abrahamic and Davidic covenants. He will rule during the millennium.
5. Reincarnation is not bibilcal

Revelation 11 documents the lives of the witnesses. They are given power but Jesus already has power as the Son of God. In addition, it says that the beast overcomes the witnesses and kills them Jesus the Messiah cannot be overcome He is God.

If we could stick to the old testament it would help me, it's the book we have in common. The Messiah (God) will not reign for 1000 years, the Messiah will reign forever

But sueblange, this is a Christian Forum, and this thread is specifically in place to discuss the two witnesses in Revelation! The Old Testament will give context and background, but the focus of this thread will remain the book of Revelation in the New Testament.

So basically the antichrist and false prophet will be the one whom you call the messiah and elijah (from a Christian perspective). So will you be the one proclaiming this, Matthew 24:23-27?
I wonder how you will view the two witnesses in Revelation, who will proclaim Jesus is messiah? (These are separate from the antichrist and false prophet). As a side note they are killed by the antichrist.

I don't even know how to respond, it seems you are familiar with the NT, but you have several wires crossed...
