I'm giving a message to our youth this week, and I need a little help, please. if this lesson had a title, it would be "From Adam to Ion".
The basic idea is this:
Each of us as christians represents an atom, or the smallest possible unit within the body of Christ.
Within each atom, there are-
Protons; positively charged, enabled by the Holy Spirit to do good.
Electrons; negatively charged, the influence of the world and of satan.
Neutrons...I don't know how to use these in my analogy.
Basically, the idea is to become an ion, or an atom with a charge.
Of course, a positively charged atom is the goal.
The cool thing is this...atoms become ions not by obtaining more protons (good works), but by losing electrons!
By allowing Christ to work through us, we will slowly lose our negatively charged electrons.
Any help with these things would be much appreciated:
-specific Bible verses that I can use
-suggestions about neutrons, the particles with no charge that clump up with the protons to form the nucleus.
Thanks in advance!
Robert.
