1. e-Sword - http://www.e-sword.net - An excellent (and free) Bible software program. Includes a large number of bible versions including the English Standard Version, King James Version, The Message (Eugene Peterson), and Holman Christian Standard Bible. Also includes versions of both the Hebrew and Greek text. Includes a number of commentaries, dictionaries, and lexicons (Strong, Thayer, Brown-Driver-Briggs). Also includes several for purchase modules such as the NASB and NASB Concordance.
2. OpenOffice - http://www.openoffice.org - A free office suite which can open and save Microsoft Office compatible documents. Includes a word processor, presentations application, and spreadsheet program.
