Hello, I,m also new here and I think had not yet greet the admin,staff,mods and minister of this forum.
Being a non denom. I still looking for the right church.here in our place there are about 120 sectarian religion and I'm still
seeking for a church that preach gospel that fit my understanding.

While here, let me comment on the topic. I would love to be able to join this church, but it is something like a thousand miles away. Until I get a private jet, I'm stuck with some great teaching sermons via the internet. The head pastor is a gifted teacher of the bible, and a contributor at Bible ORG articles. Hi Ya'll -- from Texas. Just started with this Forum -- have been Baptist all my life. We're in south - central part of our state. Go to Victory Baptist in a town about 45 min. from here. In Cedar Park.

Hello everyone, I just signed up to the forum.

Our church was formerly the Bible Baptist Church in Leslie, MI but two years ago we changed the name to New Life Fellowship and we merged with a church that was Brethren based. It was an unusual story. Our pastor, who wanted the name change resigned a year later, we were only having about 40 on Sunday mornings. We were a church with no pastor and a building but there was another church meeting who had a pastor but no building they were renting a room in the middle school and on Sundays only. So I rewrote our constitution and both congregations approved it and now both churches have merged and we are still New Life Fellowship. (This is an abbreviated portion of a much larger story.)

Welcome Sue, Foghorn, and Gary! Good to have you with us and to know you're living out your faith. The story of your congregation is quite interesting, Gary. I'm curious about the obstacles you faced in merging a Baptist congregation with a Brethren congregation and how you worked through them. If you care to share.
