Hi! Im Angel David. I've been a Christian for awhile. I'm 36 yrs old, originally from Chicago but have been living in Orlando FL for 3 years. It's okay...the weather is good 8) Enjoy reading the bible & I am currently reading Joel Osteen's awesome book, 'Everyday A Friday'.
He inspires me so much! *Pls no Joel bashing!!* I know some folks don't like him but I enjoy his preaching style and also his wife's as well. Ms. Joyce Meyer and TD Jakes, too!

I used to be on the CW (CrossWalk) boards known as LatinDolphin...that's how I found out about Bible.org

How's everyone doing?

Hope to make some good friends on here!

God bless!

While I am no fan of Joel's...I thoroughly enjoy the preaching of T.D.Jakes (our theological differences aside). :) Welcome to the Forum!!!

Welcome LC,

I'm another person from the CW diaspora.

Do you speak Spanish? How about Latin?

LC,

I'm pretty good, right now, except for having a rotten cold. How are you doing? Have you gotten over the move from CW?

Spanish is my second language. I've been an interpreter for a couple of mission trips. Wow, do you have to think fast to do that! This wasn't my reason for going, but it sure was useful.

Years ago, back in the 1980s, I used to get contracts from a computer company to travel to Mexico and Puerto Rico and teach database design and development to computer programmers... in Spanish. Basically introducing SQL to COBOL and BASIC programmers, if that means anything to you. I also taught the same material in English, but there were a lot of other instructors who could do that.

I don't look at all hispanic. Pure gringo.

How awesome, Strider! :bounce:

I like this board better--format wise...but CW is awesome!

I hope you get better from your cold soon--it's not fun to be sick at all.  :?

I'm here at work on my break...will be going home soon...enough...thank god for Fridays
(Though I thank god for everything ;) )

Welcome to the forum. I am curious about your title "Latincoffee" I studied ancient Latin and the Latin of the Vulgate Bible ca. 400 AD. Does the Latin in Latincoffee refer to the ancient Latin language or does it apply to Latin America?

Hey Gary! Thanks!
I used Latin in 'LatinCoffee' as a term used for latino culture or hispanics.
Also, I love coffee so...there you go! 8)

Hey, good to meet ya.

Is there any interest in a Spanish forum over here? They had the Salón Español over in CW.
