Wow! It's awesome that you have done so much work on your genealogy.

I spent four years doing pretty much nothing but genealogy and LOVED it! Was even learning written Norwegian so I could translate documents. The English and Scottish lines are the only ones I haven't been able to follow back to the 1600s--in part because I didn't take the time but also because the needed resources weren't as well organised as the others (Norway is, hands-down, the best organised country when it comes to things like this). I really need to take what I do have and put it into a form that other family members can enjoy.

Very similar mix to me. The Charles thing was a bad joke. I was referring to Charles Ingalls.

Sorry for not getting the joke. :(

Are you using any special kind of software to draft your family tree? There's a programme we've been playing around with and it's quite good.

I have a very old version of Family Tree Maker. What are you using?

We used something called MyHeritage Family Tree Builder. It's free to a certain extent of entries and features. I'm not the one who set up our tree on the programme, but the cousin who did it liked it very much.

Thanks. Did she print a book from the program?

No. (It was a he actually!) The really handy thing about it is how it sends email reminders of people's birthdays and anniversaries. I love that feature!

Thanks, Will.

Eliana, that IS cool! I need to look into updating my software but I'll wait until I also have time to do something with what the info I have.
