Hi, Eliana! Nope, we have two roosters, they're less than a year old so this may change, but right now they both crow. They take turns, then harmonize. They have different crows - someone laid an egg, bored, need food or water, predator. Not to mention the sounds they make when they're excited about food, going to a new patch of grass, or hear my husband's car in the neighborhood!

I'm impressed at your expertise on the nuances of various crows.

Eliana, what part of Norway are you in? My dad came from Nordfjord.

Hi! Cool! I hear there are almost as many people of Norwegian descent in the US than the entire population of Norway.

We live in Finnmark -- far, far in the north.

Just found out I can't post at CW. I guess that shows how much attention I pay to most things going on around me. :? Figure I'll check this place out. I liked the discussions I had with some folks at the old place (I joined CW in 1997). Hated some discussions too. Nothing like keeping life interesting. Or at least as interesting as I can stand...

I'm in Canada, Eliana, not the US, but yes, I've heard the same thing.

Finnmark. I watched the Hurtigruten tour online earlier this year, all the way to its last stop and so enjoyed it. All parts of Norway are so beautiful. I have a friend in Tromsø. I know it's far north but I can't remember if it's in Finnmark or not. Visiting Norway is one of my goals in life.

Eric, good to meet you! I guess our paths never crossed over at CW.
