Naphal asked if my Avatar was a self portrait.

Actually it is painting of Ted, a friend of mine, as I remember him in 1974. I came across it in local town's art gallery annual portrait exhibition.

It is painted by his brother from the time in 1972 when Ted took pictures of Led Zeppelin at their Sydney gig. I contacted Geoff and bought the picture, though he had told the gallery it was not for sale.

A few years ago Ted re-discovered his Led Zeppelin pictures and printed them for exhibitions to help children living in poverty in Brazil with his Rock Photo Aid to raise money for Compassion Australia. I have helped hang a couple of the exhibitions.

The picture looks like my neighbor, true. I believe anybody from the era of love, peace and Jesus wore their hair long. Mine is tagged, bagged and put away for the day when (if) I become bald enough to need a hair piece LOL.
