I am not new here but I decided to check in. I am one of the former Crosswalk members. I see many of my Crosswalk friends are no longer active on this site. This site is not quite as active as Crosswalk. I hope they are doing well.

Hello -- they were an energetic group but not as focused on Biblical topics as they were other subjects -- we each post what we post, right? <shrug>

not sure where they went -- some remain here though & we're all enriched by their perspectives

Yes, it seems that the responses and activity have diminished somewhat but I like the way the site is organized and the ones who use this site regularly have been an encouragement to me.

I'm not sure if we've met before. But I am one of the former Crosswalk members that joined hear and disappeared for awhile. Not sure if I wrote one post here last year, but I'm back again.

When I was on Crosswalk, I mostly hung out on the music board. The music board here is much less active. A few months can go by with no new posts. There is a certain forum that was created by one of the former Crosswalk members, so I suspect that is where some of the lost people went. Can't remember the name of the forum, assuming it still exists.

I'm another former Crosswalk participant. When I was there, I used to hang out a little in the Salón Español. Like many other people, I didn't follow them to Facebook.

I've gotten pretty accustomed to this place. There are about a dozen participants whose study of the Bible is much more extensive than mine, so I get to learn some interesting things. Hopefully, I won't get hooked into a lot of heresies. There is also a smattering of people whose ideas seem pretty wacko, at least to me. Most of them leave after a short stay.

There was a heavy dose of politics in the leadup to November. I was partly at fault. That has pretty much subsuded, thank God.

Hi ya'll -- it's been a while -- some of the discussion threads that I'd been interested in were Very fast- pased so I bowed out. Am still interested in discussions, though.

Some of the discussions have been a little too erudite for me. But I bravely chime in anyway. The Lord watches over me, even when I'm among his kids.

I'm a former Crosswalk member who is not on Facebook and does not want to be, so I joined over here when Crosswalk forums moved solely to Facebook. I really loved Crosswalk a lot and enjoyed the variety of threads, especially the singles thread on there. I enjoy this bible.org site, too, but I admit that most of the Bible study discussions on here seem to be kind of over my head. I check in to this site about once a week and look at the new posts, though I rarely make any posts myself.

All that to say that this site is quite different....that does not mean it is better or worse....just different. And that can be a good thing!
