Hello everyone,

I've been a pastor for a short term of 2 years, and things have gone great. Anytime I'm stumped or don't have an immediate answer I openly say that I need to research, do my research, and come with an educated answer.

Until one day one of my deacons came to me, telling me that I needed to look at a youtube page that had a biblical argument that "no man" could argue.

So I chuckled and went to the page and, I have been actually somewhat questioning my faith ever since. Last Thursday I showed up for bible study (because I was specifically asked to) and for an hour we wrestled with this youtube page.

Jesus is the Lord and Christ, there is nothing in heaven or earth that can take that away. Its just that I don't have a clear cut answer to solve the surpassing difficult doctrinal issues brought up on this young man's youtube channel. Honestly, alot of what he brought up, I didn't even know was in the bible.

This is the only and last place that I could find for help. This is not just me asking for help, its also a warning that this young man's youtube page seems to be catching on by some of the youths. He actually has 140 followers on youtube, and we may all have to address the problems he brings up soon.

Please don't treat me as an outsider because I'm a relatively new pastor and new to this site, everyone had a start somewhere. Edited I truly need help. If anything, have pity on me for my stupidity and give me the biblical weapons needed to counter youneekk's argument. I wont post the link, just to anyone who is willing, look up a video on youtube called The Return Of Horus. And keep me in your prayers. God bless.

Instead of sending traffic to this particular Youtube video (and thus increasing his viewership) could you not instead post the actual difficulties you are having with it. That would actually facilitate a more concise answer and allow for your questions to actually be answered.

I don't know if the Youtube poster is deluded, psychotic, having a joke (my best bet) or something else. Something crazy like that is nothing to worry about. I have been called to follow Jesus in discipleship and can't waste much time on the mess of trivia that exists on the internet. That would be my advice to you but I don't understand what is troubling you. Just trust God and you'll be right (as we say in Australia). That's easy to say, Why is it hard for you to do?

I don't think you're right in saying: I agree that we should get to the bottom of what is troubling rapture25 and help him to answer whatever this problem is with his deacon/church body. As pastors and, truly, as Christians we must be ready to give an anwser to those who question our faith to encourage faith and obedience to the Lord in both believers and non-believers.
Rather than dismiss our brother's struggle we should embrace him and encourage him as well as strengthen him.

While I appreciate your pastoral concern there are a lot of indications that it might be misplaced.

Rapture25 has not stated what his concern is. He has pointed us to a weirdo site that should not trouble any Christian with a little maturity, certainly the maturity I would expect of any pastor. If there is a serious question in its rant it is buried too deep for me to find.

While I am a fool for Christ, I am not prepared to be taken for fool. I may be mistaken but, as Andy says, it looks like a wind up. I have encountered similar styles of posting on other boards and they almost always turn out to be people that just want to mess with the site. So I am yet to be convinced that we have a brother with a struggle here.

I hope further posts from Rapture25 prove me wrong. That would be a nice surprise.

I agree wth Andy and John, if Rapture25 can not clarify his intention on posting here, answering to his post is a waste of time and this thread is highly recommended for locking.
I also made some search in other board and find that a certain poster with a name "bornagain1" use the same link in his thread titled "Is Gen 31:10-13 more powerful than John's prologue" and have only 7 reply was locked by board and concern user bornagain1 was banned from posting.
I consider that rapture25 and bornagain1 is 1 and same person because they used same link of yuoneekk

Wow, even in the virtual world, we should remain cautious of some deceiving acts. Though we are not to judge anyone but being careful of whom to give attention to is somehow necessary.

It's good to be back here in the forum though.

It's about "WHO" matters the most.

I remember a missionary professor I had in Bible college say to the class: "Believe your beliefs and doubt your doubts but don't doubt your beliefs and don't believe your doubts."

In this world there will be many challenges to our faith - I have read numerous atheists who have made some very good points and if I cannot develop an apologetic against them at first I do more research, I listen to other apologists.

Rapture25 do you have a pastor in your community who could mentor you or help you work through this area of doubt?

Stay grounded in the scriptures, I remember Dr. Ed Dobson stated that if he came across a theory that contradicted the Bible he would set aside the theory until he or others could develop research to refute the theory.

Col 2:6-8

"Trust but verify" no matter the source -- if there is 1(!) Q that could not be answered then why not share it vs. only pointing to some web site? -- include the web site for context but why omit the Q???
