Hi, my name is Rusty. Just stumbled upon this website and wanted to reach out to pray for some pastors out there. You give so much and are the last to be ministered to. Please feel free to respond to this post on how I can pray for you, or email me privately if needed. I believe in the power of prayer to encourage, strengthen you and help saturate your spirit.

Just a sentence of mine to reactivate this valuable posting.

I've just searched your website a bit and found an interesting contribution of yours referring to prayer (See: Flag "Prophetic" at your website, 10-10-10: Prophetic Word).

It is true. Many feel that far too little prayer is done, especially by the leaders of the church.
If the leaders don't pray, the church won't pray either.

If single members of a church have a good prayer-life and notice their pastor doesn't pray as he should, there are in my eyes two possibilities:
Either that praying member starts to pray for the pastor too, or he leaves that church.

Pastors have become businessmen rather than shepherds of souls.

That is undoubtedly true of some, but I would not paint with so broad a brush. I know a number of pastors who are true shepherds of God's people.
