I agree that it has gotten kind of far afield, but that is the fun of it all.

The Original Question "How can the action of create happen without time?
If, it can't happen without time, how was time created?"

We must remember that God (in the person of the Word Jn. 1) and God is outside of time and space. We can only function in time, but God can.

When the Word created all things He created time. There is no time apart from space.

Serendipity

I agree about problems about the time line with Faster Than Light Travel in SciFi.

I created a SciFi series in 1995 where a village from what is now Turkey, along with a patrol from the Roman 12th Legion, were abducted and carried off to another planet to be slaves in 120 AD. They fought for, and won their freedom, and have thrived among the stars. Now, in the present, we have a thriving human civilization among the stars. Christianity and Judaism thrived too, so that we have brothers and sisters out there (in the fiction).

In the latest revision of the story the Romans are a Roman Secret Service unit of the same size.

No part of the story takes place in the future because I don't know when God will end time.

The way I got around the time problem without it taking thousands of years to travel between stars is this. It was proposed by a scientist in the late 70s. Since the rate of expansion of the universe is different everywhere, each place in the universe has a unique energy level/resonance. If one can match that resonance, then one is there, by definition, and without passing through the intervening space. No FTL travel. Not time problems. No ten thousand year commutes.

A lot of my strongest and most capable characters are Christians. In one story I had an Air Force pilot on a black ops mission get into trouble and get rescued by some of my characters. He awoke in another star system and settled down there. He is a Christian. He eventually married a Christian woman there. They needed to visit Earth in one story. I had them visit my own church. When the greeter at the door asked them if they were from out of town they truthfully said that they were. They just did not add that they were from 60 light years out of town.

By the way, the Black Ops mission was suggested to me by a Marine Major at NORAD/Space Command Public Relations. He pointed out that he was not commenting on whether any such a thing existed.

HA!!

Pretty cool.. I really should try my hand at this sometime. The TARDIS, stuck in perpetuity as a 1950's London police box makes perfect sense to me. <g> Just like there only one, true James Bond,
Sean Connery, there is only one Dr. Who, Tom Baker. Daleks are about the funniest invention I have come across....

My edit was denied... (

Have you ever seen the opera, The Little Prince? (can't be sure of the title) This kid travels around space but spends most of his time with an allied pilot who has crashed in N. Africa. They just walk around the wreck and sing together... The MET production was awesome. I was totally mesmerized.

Time came into existence with death. It will end when death is ended.
