Titus 2:3-5

Welcome to the Women's Discussion Room.

Here is the place that we women can come to share our joys and sorrows, triumphs and failures, and the knowledge we have gained as we walk with the Lord. It is also the place where we safely ask questions concerning anything that pertains to our walk so that we may continue to grow.

It is my prayer that those of us who are older (at least in our faith) will be able to assist those of us who are a little younger and share our experiences. Although it is good to learn by making our own mistakes sometimes it is better to learn from someone who has "been there, done that".

With Bible.org's launch of it's new Women's Ministry Super Category I see an increase in the number of Women here at our forums. Please continue to keep this forum and Bible.org in your prayers as we reach the world for Christ.

If you are not already a member of our Women's Forums you will not be able to access the private area for more personal women's discussion. To participate in these forums you will need to join the "Women's Discussion Group" via your User Control Panel, simply select the group and click submit.

Please feel free to start a thread or join in the discussions that are already in place. If you have any suggestions, comments, or problems please do not hesitate to let me know. Feel free to either send me a pm or an e-mail. If you send an e-mail just put "Women's Forum" in the subject line this will prevent it from going to my bulk mail folder!

You may also contact our Women's Ministry Moderator "dcljoy" if you need any assistance.

Any gentlemen while we appreciate the fact that you want to help when reading items in this public area of the garden we would like to request that you please stay on the path and out of the flowers and vegetables. If you have something to add that you think would be beneficial please send a note to Dinah (dcljoy) and she'll think about it. Thanks for your understanding.

Hi Ladies

wake up, I need some advice and ideas.

I am opening a bridal shop in London in the heart of the Olympic City and I want to incorporate ministry into all aspects of this affair.

I have thought of many names and I want some ideas.

I did not want to be two obvious there is an area not far from me where the shops are called Psalms 91 (a clothes shop), Alpha Boutique, Amazing Grace (a food shop), Signs and Wonders (a food shop).
This little community are all very much christians. But I wanted something suitable and practical, the ideas I have are:

and remember this is a bridal shop,

Amazing Grace
Awesome Wonder
Glad Exchange - my favourite
Two shall Become One
Divine Exchange Bridal

Please ladies let me know what you think.

Thanks

Hey maxine, congrats on the new shop...I can't think of anything off the top of my head but if you went with the last one one your list you can nickname it "Debs" Divine Exchange Bridal Shop

You could also use "Beginnings" although that may be better for a bay/maternity store...

:)

Dear Maxine

What a wonderful venture .. It sounds great .. Also your little part of London sounds an exciting place to be.

May our God and Father bless you and provide for your new venture.

As to names .. Not my strong point .. The only two that came to mind were

Blessed Beloved .or BB

Song of Solomon

But came across this today, a lovely bridal poem by Anne Bradstreet, a Puritan Poet . it is lovely, but don't know if you are "into" poetry.

With love

Dinah

In "To My Dear and Loving Husband," she celebrates marital love while pointing to a love more eternal:
If ever two were one, then surely we.
If ever man were loved by wife, then thee.
If ever wife was happy in a man,
Compare with me, ye women, if you can.
I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold,
Of all the riches that the East doth hold.
My love is such that rivers cannot quench,
Nor ought but love from thee give recompense.
Thy love is such I can no way repay;
The heavens reward thee manifold I pray.
Then, while we live, in love let's so persevere,
That when we live no more we may live ever.
Anne Bradstreet

What about these:
Dearly Beloved
As I Walk With Thee
Adam & Eve Bridal
Genesis 1:1 ( in the beginning)
I Do, I Do Bridal
I hope you have good luck in your search.

I would like to suggest the name "Agape Bridal"
There are 4 different kinds of love discussed in the New Testament, and agape love is described as a passionate love, the special type required for marriage, and the type of love that exists between the Bridegroom (Christ) and his bride, the Church.

It would be easy to use, pronounce, and would not be overtly "Christian" to be offputting to the general public or those of other faiths who might wish to patronize the business.

Here is another... :sign7:
"Abide with Me"...after that beautiful hymn!

After all, isn't a marriage proposal an invitation from the gentleman to the lady to "abide with him" for the remainder of her life? Just a thought.

Hope this is helpful and I wish you much success and happiness in helping others make their dreams come true.

Hello!! What a fantastic idea. I have a small bridal side-job as well. I do gown sketches of the dress/tux/flowers post or pre-wedding as a gift. :) I love this line of work!

I really liked :
Adam & Eve Bridal
and another user had the idea of agape. That is one of my favorite words and i think would accurately describe it! Agape(uh-Gah-pay) =unconditional love! How cool :) I think I'd just call it:
Agape

Other ideas:
Faithful
Faithfully Yours
One Love (aka Christ)
Eternity
Today, Tomorrow, a Lifetime (but I guess that's more of a slogan)
Combined
O Happy Day

Just a few ideas. :) I love coming up with names!!!
